DO YOU HAVE ALL-INCLUSIVE UNLIMITED MILEAGE RATES AVAILABLE?

Yes, unlimited mileage rates are available for minibuses, vans, and utes. There is a minimum of a 3 day rental to qualify for an unlimited mileage rate.

CAN I RETURN A VEHICLE TO YOUR PREMISES WHEN CLOSED?

Yes we can provide instructions on how to do this at pick up. Ask us to clearly explain what rate you will be charged if you decide on this option. In some cases it will go into an additional day’s hire.

CAN I TAKE YOUR VEHICLE ON THE BEACH?

No. Our vehicles are not insured on any beach whatsoever. Additionally, sand and salt is the enemy of any vehicle’s structure – any sign of beach use will incur $1,000 cleaning fee.

DO YOU DO ANY ONE-WAY HIRES?

No, all vehicles have been picked up and returned to our yard at 12 Shamrock Drive, Kumeu.

HOW CAN I CHANGE A BOOKING?

HOW DO I CANCEL A BOOKING?

Cancellation Policy:
– Within 48 hours of start time: 50% hire charge payable
– Within 24 hours of start time: 100% hire charge payable

CAN I EXTEND MY HIRE?

Of course, however this is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee any extension but will do our best to accommodate your request. The earlier you get in touch, the more likely we will be able to assist.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN EARLY?

You’ve done well. And we are glad to hear that things went smooth. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for early drop off of vehicles.

IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR MORE THAN ONE DRIVER?

No, there is no additional charge for having more than one driver. You can have up to 3 named drivers per vehicle. All drivers need to present a valid drivers license.

WHAT ARE THE DRIVER LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRING VEHICLES?

You must be over 21 years of age, hold a full license and currently hold the class of license for the vehicle you wish to hire. If you are running a tour with fee paying passengers, you will need to present your valid Transport Service License and you driver will require a P endorsement.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT, BREAKDOWN OR NEED ASSISTANCE?

Contact us straightaway so we can advise how we can assist you. An emergency after hours number is provided on our answer phone.

WHAT IS YOUR INSURANCE EXCESS?

Our Insurance Excess is $3,000.

CAN I RENT A VEHICLE ON A SATURDAY, SUNDAY OR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS?

Unfortunately, we are closed on Sunday and Public Holidays. However, we are open on Saturday for pick up of vehicles and trailers. While vehicles can be returned outside of opening hours, we cannot accept trailer returns without one of our team members present.

I’M TRAVELLING VIA TOLL ROADS

No worries. We pay these automatically and will add the cost to your hire. No need to stop and pay 🙂

CAN I TAKE THE VEHICLE ACROSS THE COOK STRAIT?

Vehicles can be taken on the ferry but they must be returned to Auckland as we do not have any other offices located around New Zealand.

For larger vehicles (2 Ton and up), please enquire further as vehicles may we have to be certified to cross on the ferry due to lashing point requirements etc. We can advise what our vehicles have so you can book the correct one and organise this with the ferry companies.

DO YOU CHARGE A CLEANING FEE IF THE VEHICLE IS NOT RETURNED CLEAN? WHAT IF I SMOKE IN THE VEHICLE?

Yes. We will charge a fee if the vehicle is returned filthy or if rubbish is left behind in it. NO SMOKING IN OUR VEHICLES.

Please Note: Tip Trucks need to be washed to an acceptable standard before return. This means no excessive mud or aggregate in or around the tray, the wheels/arches and/or inside the cab.

DO YOU PROVIDE DRIVERS?

No, all of our vehicles are self driven. We don’t provide drivers.

IS FUEL INCLUDED?

All hirers pay for their own fuel the hire vehicle uses. If it not returned full we charge you for what it takes to fill the tank. We have petrol & diesel on our premises charged at market rates.

DO YOU OFFER A COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER?

Sorry, we do not offer a Collision Damage Waiver.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO THE OFFICE WHEN I COLLECT A VEHICLE?

The driver of the vehicle will need to provide their current drivers licence (full) relevant to the class of vehicle they are hiring. If there are additional drivers we will also need to see their licences.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAILY, WEEKLY AND WEEKEND RATES?

Daily rates are on a 24 hours basis. Trucks and other commercial vehicles have a 7.30am or 4.30pm pick up time. As the number of hire days increases, our prices generally reduce. Please see individual vehicle webpages, our prices page, or enquire by the ‘BOOK NOW’ button book online to get an indication of hire rates.

For long hires of one week or more, please feel free to get in touch to discuss rates.

CAN I LEAVE MY CAR ON SITE DURING MY RENTAL?

We have limited on and off site parking for vehicles during rental. Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility caused to damage of vehicles while while left during your rental. If your vehicle is precious, please arrange transportation!

WHAT IS THE SECURITY BOND & HOW MUCH IS IT?

The security bond is an authorisation of funds on your credit or debit card that allows us to finalise any outstanding amounts owed at the end of a hire. It also gives authority to process charges for insurance in case of accident.

The security bond is generally between $300 – $500, depending on the vehicle, but this may be more for some vehicles or for extended hire periods. This can ONLY be processed by Visa/Mastercard debit or credit cards. Ask us about the correct deposit for your hire.

WHEN WILL I GET MY SECURITY BOND BACK?

The security bond is normally processed within 24 hours of your hire completion, however this can take a few days to show on your account due to various bank processing cycles.
